World's Largest Truck Convoy - NW Kansas

The commitee for the World's Largest Truck Convoy would like to invite everyone to NW Kansas for the 8th Annual Truck Convoy! We will start the festivities with a meal and fireworks display at Petro Travel Plaza on Friday, September 5 at 7:00 p.m. Then on Saturday, Septemeber 6, the Convoy will roll out of two starting locations, Wilken's Truck in Goodland, KS and Mitten's in Oakley, KS. The two convoys will join together in Colby to form a parade and end at Oasis Travel Plaza for lunch, auctions and entertainment! For more details, check out our brochure!

 

1st Annual Law Enforcement Bench Press Competition

On Saturday, September 13, 2014 the Mission Police Department will host the 1st Annual Law Enforcement Bench Press Competition. The event will take place at Olathe CrossFit 1808 E. Battle of the Badges - Topeka

Watch some football between the Topeka PD and Topeka FD and benefit a great cause! The two teams will play at Yager Stadium on Washburn University's campus (1700 College, Topeka, KS) on Sunday, October 12 at 1:00 p.m. Halftime entertainment provided by the Topeka High School Drum Line! Bowling for Special Olympics

The Spring Hill Police Department will be hosting their inaugural bowling fundraising tournament on Sunday, October 26. The event will start at 10:00 a.m. and will be held at the Olathe East Lanes (303 N Lindenwood, Olathe). Bracket style play, best of three games moves on. A team will consist of you, two friends and a Special Olympics Kansas athlete! Register online here!

 

SAVE THE DATE--First Responder Fitness Challenge Event (Cross Fit Style) - November 8th

On Saturday, November 8th from 8 am to noon, the Metro Area LETR will host a First Responder Fitness Challenge Event at Olathe CrossFit (1801 E Kansas City Road in Olathe, KS).  Teams of 4 (2 women and 2 men) will compete in 3 workouts structured to test speed, strength and endurance. Each workout will be 5-20 minutes and will consist of "required movements" or "expectations". The event is designed to challenge fitness enthusiasts of all levels. Top 4 teams will square off in a final, surprise workout. Event flyer and registration will be on here very soon so SAVE THE DATE!
