Summer Games Hotel Update

The Holiday Inn - Wichita, located at Kellogg and Rock Road, will be the host hotel for the Kansas LETR. The hotel includes a restaurant onsite, as well as an indoor pool and spa. BBQ Grills are Firing Up

The Saline County Sheriff's Office is warming up their grills for a delicious hamburger and hot dog feed. The BBQ will be both Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Stop by the training room for a great lunch! For more details, please click here!

 

Torch Run Season is Fast Approaching

This year, the Kansas LETR is proud to be the first to celebrate our 35th Anniversary! If you are interested in participating in a ceremonial Torch Run near year, please complete this form and submit to the information along the bottom of the waiver or register online here!

35th Anniversary Merchandise Available Now!

The Kansas Law Enforcement Torch Run is celebrating 35 years of lighting the way for Special Olympics Kansas athletes. What started as a small run in 1981 in Wichita, KS has spread into every corner of the world, raising money and awareness for Special Olympics programs.

New this year are can koozies, available for a limited time in a limited quantity. When placing your order, please be sure to include your Torchrunners as they carry the torch this season. We will only be using one shirt to sell and run in.

Midnight Run

The Leawood Police Department will host their annual 5K Midnight Run on late Friday, June 17 into the wee morning hours of Saturday, June 18. The starting line will be at the Leawood Justice Center. World's Largest Truck Convoy

Communities in Southwest Kansas will be joining forces to host our annual World's Largest Truck Convoy. This year, the event will be held on Saturday, June 18. We will have two starting locations, one in Dodge City and the other in Meade, with the ending BBQ and auction at the Gray County Fairgrounds in Cimarron. Golf Tournament is "Tee"-ing Up!

On July 11, Prairie Village Police Department will host their annual Scramble for Special Olympics. Shot gun start at 1:00 p.m. at Deer Creek Golf Club in Overland Park. Details and registration will open shortly! Stay tuned!
