Springtime is BBQ Time!
The Saline County Sheriff's Office will be grilling up some burgers and hot dogs for the Torch Run festivities! The BBQ will take place Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the training room in the Saline County Sheriff's Office. A $5 donation will purchase your plate!
Get Out Your Running Shoes!
The 7th Street Casino is partnering with Special Olympics Kansas and bringing you the 7th Street Stride for Life! The walk/run will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. in downtown Kansas City, Kansas. For more information and to download the offline registration form, click here! Tip-A-Cop Planned
The Olathe Police Department will host their annual Tip-A-Cop at Red Robin (20155 W 153rd Street) on Saturday, May 18. The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The flyer has complete details.

Any officer interested in serving on the Kansas LETR Executive Council, should submit the Nomination Form for the LETR Executive Council by August 1, 2013. Information on duties and responsibilities can be located in the LETR Manual or contact Jana at fornelli@ksso.org.

Blue Knights Kansas Motorcycle Ride
On Saturday, June 1, the Blue Knights Kansas VIII will host a motorcycle ride starting in Osawatomie at the Whistle Stop and end in Spring Hill at K & M BBQ. Registration from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m, kickstands up at 11 a.m. Join them in supporting Special Olympics Kansas. For more details, download the event flyer here.
ROAM Ride
On Saturday, June 8, the annual ROAM in the Heartland Motorcycle Ride will ride in the heartland to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Kansas. They will begin at the Topeka Harley Davidson (2047 SW Topeka Blvd) at 11:00 a.m. Registration will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. For more details, download the event flyer here. World's Largest Truck Convoy
The World's Largest Truck Convoy will roll through Southwest Kansas on June 15, 2013. We will have starting locations in Garden City, Dodge City and Meade with an ending destination in Cimarron. Scramble for Special Olympics - Prairie Village
Join us on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Meadowbrook Golf and Country Club as the Prairie Village PD hosts their annual golf tournament. The fee is $55 per golfer or $220 per team. Rules can be found on the event flyer. Register online here. We will see you on the links!
