Saline County Community BBQ

The officers of Saline County Sheriff's Office invite everyone to their annual BBQ! The event will be held on both Thurday, May 28 and Friday, May 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A $5 donation to Special Olympics Kansas gets your plate and can stack as high as you want with hot dogs, hamburgers and other BBQ items! Be sure to stop by the Saline County Sheriff's Office training room on both days for lunch!

Make History in the First Unified Relay Across America for Special Olympics

The Unified Relay Across America will be in Kansas on June 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th.  You can make history by carrying the Flame of Hope. The Flame of Hope will be lit in Athens, Greece and travel to the United States.  This flame will be carried across our nation to all the way to Los Angeles, California to kick off the Special Olympics World Games. Run or bike the torch in a segment with your friends, sponsor the event or sponsor an athlete.


Midnight Run

Looking to beat that summertime heat? Come out and join us for our annual Midnight Run, hosted by the Leawood Police Department! The event will be held on Friday, June 19 with registration starting at 10:00 p.m. at the Leawood Justice Center. A shotgun start will kick off the race at midnight! Registration is $25 before 5/29, $30 before 6/17, and $35 after that date. To register online, click here. World's Largest Truck Convoy - SW Kansas

Keeping our community moving forward! That's the theme for this year's World's Largest Truck Convoy for Special Olympics Kansas. The first Convoy of the season will be on Saturday, June 20 in SW Kansas. Two communities will host the starting locations (Meade and Dodge City) with Cimarron serving as the host for the lunch and auction. For complete details, click here. The convoy is open to all trucks, with a special section for classic cars and motorcycles! So, we hope to see everyone there!
