The Rumble Has Started

The 2010 World's Largest Truck Convoy committee is preparing for another record setting year in Kansas! The Convoy will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010. We have added a western leg (that will start in Goodland at Wilken's Truck and Trailer) and will meet the eastern leg (that will start in Oakley at Mitten's Truck Stop) in Colby at the Thomas County Fairgrounds for a great lunch and auction. Also new this year is a free will BBQ supper and concert held on Friday, September 10 from 5-7 p.m. For complete event details and to see how you can be a part of the fun, check out our flyer!

30 Years of Lighting the Way

The Kansas Law Enforcement Torch Run will celebrate our 30th Anniversary in 2011.  We invite all Law Enforcement Agencies to share with us your past & present photos and memorable moments of the Torch Run and Torch Run events.  We would also like to know what year your agency began to participate in the Kansas Law Enforcement Torch Run and who your original Agency Coordinator and/or runners were.  Any information you can share would be helpful as we celebrate our 30 years of supporting Special Olympics Kansas!

Please send photos, stories and information to Jana at fornelli@ksso.org  or mail to the SOKS Office by September 15, 2010.

Only Kansas can proclaim “First to Carry the Torch and Still Lighting the Way!”  So, let’s celebrate and share the legacy of the Kansas Law Enforcement Torch Run!
